Triple Chocolate Parfait

Is it possible to have too much chocolate in a dessert? By the looks of this Triple Chocolate Parfait, my answer is no! Layer after layer of chocolate goodness awaits!

Ingredients to make Triple Chocolate Parfaits

  • 1 Box of Chocolate cake
  • 1/2 cup of Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 3 tablespoons of powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Crushed peppermints
  • Red & green food coloring
  • Parfait cups
  • Whipped cream:
  • 11/2 cup of heavy whipping cream
  • 3 tablespoons of powdered sugar
  • Splash of vanilla extract

How to make homemade chocolate parfaits

Prepare chocolate cake by following directions on the box.

Pour a thin layer in individual round cake pans or a thin layer in a larger cake pan.

When the cake is cooled, cut out circles of cake with the parfait cups. Place circle in the bottom of parfait cup.

Mousse prep:

Beat 1/2 cup whipping cream until stiff peaks form. In a double boiler melt white chocolate.

Add cream cheese to the whipped cream bowl.

Add powdered sugar, beat until fluffy.

In a separate bowl beat melted chocolate and vanilla.

Fold whip cream mixture into chocolate mixture.

Prepare:

After putting cake circle in the bottom, layer red mousse, a layer of chocolate chips, then green mousse, then pipe whipped cream on top and sprinkle with crushed peppermints.

Chill for 1-2 hours, serve.
