Project 365 Weeks 15 and 16

So, here we are another two week post as the second week of the holidays was far too hectic to post! Hopefully you all have the sunshine too. It’s been a lovely Easter Holidays, but I am struggling to believe that will are now into the last term of the school year, I swear they are going quicker every year! here are our last two weeks.

Day 98 The three girls and I set off early this morning to attend a 10.30 am showing of Disney On Ice at Wembley Arena, I am so glad we chose that showing as Shrewsbury were playing Stoke next door in some football final (can you tell i’m a rugby fan and have no idea about football!)When we came out of the Arena it was heaving and there were police everywhere, I am not a big fan of driving in crowded areas, so this was quite a test for me! But we survived and we had a lovely time, for anyone wondering if they should go and watch Disney on Ice, I would say Go.

Day 99 – It has been lovely having different combinations coming out for a walk with Merrie, today Viggo insisted coming along with Eowyn and Neva, but less than half way round the field he announced he was too tired, until he got to the dip and then he spent the next 30 minutes running up and down the hill, i’m not too sure who was more worn out, Merrie or Viggo!

Day 100 Merrie has got into the habit of having a drink from the outside tap when she gets back from a walk, so much so that I came in from a walk and went straight in the house, I turned round and she hadn’t followed me, I found her in the garden standing under the tap! The door behind her leads to our bin store, Merries favourite place to go, and then she shuts the gate behind her and can’t get back out, so she sits there barking to get us to let her out! This has been going on quite a long time, i’m sure she does it on purpose!

Day 101 Its not very often I get a chance to grab photos of the boys together, I didn’t quite manage all four, but three out of four isn’t bad!

Day 102 Bathtime for Tyrus and Viggo, they  would both spend hours in there if I let them, I have to take every single bath toy out of the bath and take the plug out, before they will even consider getting out to get dried!

Day 103 Today Neva celebrated her 15th birthday, I cannot believe where the time has gone, it only seems like two moments ago I was stopping in between contractions in the hospital car park, wonderinn if I would actually make it to the  delivery suite! And now, here she is taking her gcses and about to become the  head of community and culture for her school, which means she will be in charge of all the fundraising they will be doing over the next year, we are all very proud of her.

Day 104 Last week our large 9 seater went in for its annual MOT, last year it didn’t need much doing at all, so I was hopefull the same would happen, but of course that didn’t happen, in fact, there was so much wrong with it, the garage wouldn’t even give me a price for putting it right as it would be more than the cars worth, which is fair enough, but it didn’t help me with transporting children especially when Asa is due to drive to Hartlepool, so we have purchased a 7 seater Zafira for now, until I have enough time to sit down and find the perfect 9 seater to transport everyone about!

Day 105 Today Asa celebrated his 46th birthday, he is still playing first team rugby and scoring tries! We didn’t do much for Asa’s birthday, but Viggo asked if he could take his spiderman bike when they had a walk to Burgh Castle Fort, I love this one of Viggo and Lochi together.

Day 106 Today Neva and Kaide were back in High School, lochi was back to college and Viggo was supposed to be back to preschool, but as soon as he found out that Tyrus wasn’t in school today he wanted the day off, we also received notification that Viggo will attend the same Primary School as all of his brothers and sisters, so I figured in a few months time he won’t have the option for a day off, so I had a lovely day with the two youngest (and Merrie) whilst Asa and Eowyn took Xene back to university. The journey took much longer than expected, with road closures and extensive diversions, they didn’t get back until really late, but Eowyn worked out jow to send messgaes from Asa’s phone, so I was getting a running commentary from her, plus they stopped for a break in Swaffham and sent me this pic!

Day 107 I was a little stuck for a photo today, but its OK because all I have to do is check my phone, and i’ll find a random Eowyn selfie! You wouldn’t believe she had been travelling for nearly 14 hours in a car yesterday!

Day 108 Today Lochlan celebrated his 18th birthday, he had a morning in college, then a friend came round to visit for a while, Dominos Pizza for tea and then off to the arcades in Great Yarmouth with Neva, Kaide, Eowyn and Asa. It was too late for the little ones, so I stayed home with them.

Day 109 It was too hot today for Merrie, but it’s OK as she found the perfect spot to keep cool!

Day 110 As from Monday the children in Tyrus’s class will be entering their classroom from a different entrance, as this will completely change his routine, his teacher, teaching assistant and myself have all been working together to ensure he adapts to the change as smoothly as possible, but I think he will be fine, up until last year whenever we had a different event happening like a birthday before school he would completely go to pieces, but this year he has been amazing.

Day 111 The weather has been so lovely the last couple of days, long may it continue, although I think its due to go colder again shortly, Viggo loves being  outside.

And that’s our two weeks! I began doing Project 65 in 2014 and have never got any further than Day 112, so anything after tomorrow is new territory for me! I’ve got this x

  1. Happy belated birthday to Neva, Asa and Lochlan! The dino cake is very cool. Merrie drinking from the outside tap is adorable. Disney on Ice must have been a special performance. The car issues are totally frustrating.

  3. So many birthdays in your house at the moment! Impressed that Eowyn could cope with 14 hours of travelling. Love that you can always find one of her selfies on your phone when you need them!
Congratulations on making it to uncharted 365 territory.

  4. That’s a lot of birthdays and well done Neva on her post at school. Sounds like a great thing to do. Loving Merrie’s temporary sun shield. I wonder if you can get a 9 seater for review! That would be nice 🙂 #365

  5. Love Viggo’s jacket.
My daughter has a 9 seater mini bus ( or an 8+1 as they are called.
Happy belated birthday to Asa Lochlan and Neva. Great picture of Merrie at the tap. Bad financial planning have three so close and just as well they were not born on dad’s birthday.
Eowyn looks a little scary in that selfie.

  6. I think term times are going quicker and I don’t have kids in school anymore. Lol at Merrie locking herself in, must be a pain keep going out to rescue her. Sorry to hear about the car, hope you manage to get sorted soon. The cakes look fab, happy 15th and 18th birthdays to your daughter and son. I really hope your son settles well with the new changes at school, sounds like he has a lot of support.
