Is there anything better than a delicious Strawberry Orange Soda on a hot summer day? What if I told you that you could make this easy drink quicker than running to the store and buying one? It’s 100% true and you’re about to fall in love with this simple drink recipe!

Delicious Strawberry Orange Soda

I’m a big fan of soda, but I’m not crazy about drinking all that “stuff” in it that none of us can pronounce or even know what it is. The good news? Now you can take charge and make your own delicious homemade soda.

Not only does this strawberry soda recipe taste amazing, but it’s packed full of real fruit as well! Get ready to find a true sipper that you love!

Can you use frozen strawberries for this homemade soda?

Absolutely! During the winter months, that may be the only option you have. But when they’re ripe in the summer, grab them while you can. There’s nothing quite like fresh strawberries to drink and enjoy!

Can you freeze this strawberry orange soda?

You can. But just know that when you freeze it, it might not have the same texture and consistency when it unthaws. The flavor and the taste will still be there though and it can be a great way to have a nice summer tasting drink all year round!  

Ingredients needed to make this homemade strawberry soda 

  • 1/2 pound of strawberries; fresh or frozen
  • 1 navel orange
  • add in 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of water
  • Carbonated water or club soda
 
Supplies needed:
  • Mesh sieve strainer
  • A spoon
  • A small saucepan
  • Spoon

How to make this homemade orange and strawberry soda

Slice the strawberries and peel and quarter the orange.
 
Add fruit, water, and sugar to a saucepan.
 
Cook over medium heat for about 30 minutes, stirring frequently.
 
Allow the fruit syrup to cool.
 
Pour the fruit syrup through a mesh sieve strainer, into a mason jar.

Smash the fruit with a spoon to release any juices remaining.

Fill a glass with ice.
 
Add 2 ounces of strawberry orange juice to the glass.
 
Top with club soda or carbonated water from your soda machine.
 
Garnish with a strawberry and a slice of orange if desired.
 
Makes 4 sodas. Store any unused syrup in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
