Revamp the family bathroom for an at home spa experience

One of the best ways to spend some child free time is indulging in a few treats yourself. While heading to the spa can be costly, that doesn’t mean to say you can’t get that experience at home. So investing some time and money into your family bathroom can have many advantages. You might want to replace your bathroom suite to a shiny sparkly new one. Or even just fit a new vanity sink to store products and make those treatments at home easier. There are some wonderful bathroom vanity units available online. This will present the perfect chance for a long uninterrupted soak in the bath. Why not light some candles, dim the lights and even download a spa app for the full effect. You’ll feel like a new person in no time.

Schedule in the time and have a plan

One of the greatest things a mum can do is keep on top of the whole family timetable. You know where everyone has to be at any given time. So use this skill to your advantage and schedule in some alone time for yourself. It could be in a morning, or an evening. Find a time that works for you and your family so you are less likely to be interrupted. A good idea would also to be have a plan on how you want to use that time. It could be something as simple as enjoying a cup of tea and reading a magazine or you may want to use the time to treat yourself to manicure at your local salon.

Create a special corner of your home just for you

While you are scheduling in the time you might want to consider having a part of your home just for you. It could be a particular chair near all the books, or the perfect spot that catches the morning sunlight. This will encourage you to make more of the time you have, or act a sa reminder to ensure you schedule some time in.

Get up one hour earlier

Finally, every mum knows the importance of sleep and how difficult it can be for some of us to get a good night of it. But getting up one hour earlier is proven to set your day off on the right track. This is the perfect time to use to exercise, meditate or just generally have some time to yourself. More than likely everyone will be asleep and the silence will be golden.

I hope this has offered you some great tips to make more of your child free time. We all deserve our little treats.
