Time To Lose The Baby Weight!

At the beginning of September Viggo turned 4 and started his new preschool,  Kaide turned 12 and started high school and Xene went off to university, to say it has been an emotional couple of weeks is an understatement, it only seems like 2 minutes ago I was bringing Xene home from the hospital! Thankfully she has settled in well, although it doesn’t stop me worrying.

Viggo is now in preschool 4 days per week, in readiness for full time school in September 2018, so I guess you could say my baby days are well and truly behind me. I thought I would be sad, but actually I am OK with it, our lives are full and busy trying to fit everything in with all seven children’s schedules, as well as running two businesses, so I certainly have enough to keep me busy.

Lots of people have said it’s now time for you to start doing stuff for yourself, which may be true, the first thing I am going to tackle is my weight, to anyone looking in, they won’t see a problem, I am a pretty average size 12/14 but for my build and height I feel enormous. When I first met Asa I weighed 7 st 14, I know that I have had seven children, but after each child I have usually gone back down to a size 8/10 which I was happy with, but now they are older and I work from home, I spend most of my time snacking and consuming large quantities of sugary, fizzy drinks, which I know isn’t good from my waistline, or my teeth! I stepped on the scales and got a bit of a shock…

All my clothes are too tight and I spend most days in a baggy top and very unflattering leggings (but the tops hide it, so it’s not that hideous!!)

As if someone was listening to my inward moaning, the lovely people from So Shape got in touch and asked if I would like to give their weight loss programme a go. I know that I need to do something otherwise I will get too complacent and just keep buying bigger clothes instead of actually trying to lose weight.

The So Shape programme consists of lots of different flavoured shakes and frappes, with a couple of savoury options. I am currently undertaking the 28 day challenge, which consists of 12 different flavour choices and you get 5 of each, any of you that are hot on maths will know that actually gives you 60 pouches, you get a couple extra in case you desperately need to go out for a meal at a restaurant (if only) and they recommend you take a shake before you go out.

There are a three different So Shape Challenges to choose from, depending on what you want to achieve.

A 28 Day Challenge The Reborn

28 days to change your body, your habits and your state of mind. Open up to a new kind of diet and a more toned-up version of yourself! Eat less, be better-fed!

This includes 60 Smart Meals,(classic option 6 flavour choices, or for an extra £9.50 12 flavour choices) 1 shaker and an instruction booklet.

There are a HUGE choice of flavours.

The chilled option choices are:

Brownie, Hazelnut, Sea Salt Caramel, Cappuccino, Vanilla & White Chocolate, Stracciatella, Speculoos, Cookies & Cream and Chocolate.

Frappes :

Raspberry, Mint Choc Chip and Lemon Cheesecake.

Hot Meals:

Cheese Pasta, Pesto Pasta, Pasta Spicy Bolo, Mushroom Risotto and Indian Curry Pasta.

Hot Soups:

Tomato Soup and Vegetable.

So, as you can see there is a vast choice of flavours, so far I am definitely going towards the Chilled Drinks and Iced Frappes, probably because they are quick and easy to prepare and I can drink them quickly then get on with the day!

I have been very good at sitting down and having a nice healthy lunch, and not a drop of fizzy drink has passed my lips this week.

I have also done something extremely unusual for me, I actually have photos of me, so that I can hopefully see an improvement each week.

This is probably the heaviest I have been EVER, check back next week to find out how I have got on after my first week.

Disclosure:

I have been provided with a 28 day Challenge FOC, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
