My children LOVE Halloween! They love the dressing up and trick or treating, however this year we have done it a little differently, the whole concept of Halloween seems to be lengthening, Xene went to a pub quiz on Wednesday night and it was all Halloween Fancy Dress, the university have various parties planned (along with the rugby club) although technically its not Halloween until Tuesday.
As Xene is only home until Monday morning the children were keen to involve Xene in the celebrations, last year I decided not to take the children out to the usual neighbourhood we go trick or treating, so Xene, Lochlan and Asa decorated the entire garden and stood at various stations around the garden dressed up with a pumpkin bucket full of sweets, the younger children LOVED it, so we thought we would do the same again this year.
They were joined this year by Neva and Kaide who wanted to create something special for Eowyn, Tyrus and Viggo.
After they had collected all of their sweets at the various ‘houses’ we had a Halloween Movie Night, watching Casper the Friendly Ghost and The Addams Family courtesy of HMV. Xene also made Eowyn into a spooky Vampire!
They had a lovely day on Saturday and it was so lovely that Xene got to share it with them.
We were provided with some fun Halloween goodies to help with our celebration.
