#Blogtober18 Day 6 Forest Creatures #nationalbadgerday

October 6, 2018Mandi Morrison

So here we are at day 6, which is #nationalbadgerday.

I have lived for many years rurally, and have encountered Deer, Foxes, Rabbits, Stoats, but never a badger, in fact the only time I have seen an actual badger in real life was when we stopped in a layby because one of the boys was desperate for a wee and when I looked down the bank below, there was a dead badger! I was quite surprised by the size of it and so I will continue my quest to see a real LIVE badger one day!

Although i chose the theme, i’m going slightly off myself, because today I am giving you three top products that will get your children outside to explore, and maybe even find some forest creatures, whilst having lots of fun, we have been using them during the summer and had a great time.

I went a bit off topic too, because I didn’t really know what to say about badgers, haha!

Wow I really wanted a periscope when I was a kid. I remember my grandad (who was an engineer and worked on submarine design) making me one from a wee rabid box and a couple of my nana’s Compact mirrors. It wasn’t as fancy looking as this one though!

Sadly, I’ve only ever seen a dead badger and that was just yesterday. We were going shopping and it was at the side of the road.

I have only seen badgers alive once, when it was dark. Sadly I mainly see them dead at the side of the road 🙁
