So, no more letters, now its all about Social Media! Today is that wonderful book of Face..
A post appeared on my timeline last week from 8 years ago, I had no idea I had been on facebook that long!
For Big Family Organised chaos you can find me at bigfamilychaos , I too a fabulous facebook course last year, so I am hoping to put those skills to use to build up the page, as facebook wouldn’t let me change my old facebook page to the new one so i’m starting again!
I can also be found at Big Family Little Adventures for Days Out and Family Travel for the larger than average family.
And finally, if you are looking to follow our trials and tribulations with a new puppy in two weeks, don’t forget to follow Big Dog Little Adventures its a work in progress!
Now, as I mentioned before the facebook course I have taken is brilliant, and there are lots of little tips, so here are a few.
1. Like For Like Threads
It may seem like an easy way to boost your followers, but if you just follow other bloggers and they do the same to you it can in fact harm your reach. Facebook gets confused and thinks your primary target is other bloggers, which may be the case if your blog is solely about blogging, but i’m guessing most of you will want other parents to follow you.
2. Regular and Consistent Posting.
This one I am not so good at! I have a small stint where I schedule posts for a few days, my engagement increased 100% and then other things get in the way. The recommended scheduling is 4 posts per day, but with only one of them being your own content, so look out for funny memes (or make your own) share viral posts, or copy the url and schedule it for the next day. Your organic reach will increase if you share popular posts.
3. Transfer those Likes into followers.
I’m sure you are all aware that if a person likes your post then you can invite them to like your page, lots of bloggers worry about spamming their readers, but the invite only gets sent once, so they have a choice to follow or not!
4. Keep The Readers on Facebook
To ensure you gain as much organic traffic as possible on your facebook page, try to keep your readers on facebook as long as possible, the owners of facebook do not want you clicking off from them and going to youtube, so any posts or videos that are directly from facebook will do much better.
5. Encourage other bloggers to post.
Surprisingly I have heard many bloggers complain when someone shares a blog post to their page and many view it as link dumping, in fact, it is the complete opposite! If you have a group of bloggers that write the same kind of content as you, encourage them to share their posts onto your wall (if they get likes on it, you can invite those people to follow your page too) the more like minded bloggers that you interact with, enables you to create niche neighbourhoods, so when people like one of their pages you could potentially be shown as a similar page to follow. Although I would check with the blogger first, as I wouldn’t want you to be accused of link dumping! Feel free to put links of suitable posts on either of my blogs xxx
